30th November 2017
This year, we have formed an official partnership with 21 Together, a Kent-based charity which aims to help children with Down’s syndrome lead full and vibrant lives.
Through its commitment to supporting and empowering the lives of children who are less able, the charity funds local and accessible training and it also provides support and awareness of Down’s syndrome across the wider community aiming to promote inclusion at every level.
Supporting 21 Together, as part of its Community Foundations scheme, the O’Keefe Group and our people are looking forward to being involved with the charity’s future events. Some of our employees recently took part in a fun run, Parallel London 2017, which was set in the Olympic Park. Runners from across both organisations worked together and raised over £20,000. It was a truly inspirational event and one that we were proud to be part of.
Commenting on the partnership, the O’Keefe Group Deputy Managing Director Lee Horsley said: “We’re proud to announce our partnership with 21 Together.”
“Sustainability is part of what we are at the O’Keefe Group and the incredible work and support that 21 Together does to support the lives of so many across the community matches our aspiration as a business to make a difference.”
“Our relationship with 21 Together will give our employees lots of opportunities to give something back to our local community.”
Johanna Aiyathurai, 21 Together Trustee said “We have been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and support from The O’Keefe Group over the last year. Their involvement has made a huge difference to the services we can offer our community and will make a real difference.”
