The O’Keefe Group has won gold certification in the construction industry’s pre-qualification scheme for contractors, www.constructionline.co.uk.
The business had previously earned silver accreditation in the scheme which validates contractors who are fit-to-supply, giving buyers confidence that their potential suppliers have demonstrated compliance with standard pre-qualification criteria.
Silver includes an enhanced pre-qualification questionnaire that goes beyond PAS91, the standardised pre-qualification questionnaire designed to reduce the need for suppliers to complete a variety of different documents for different clients.
Developed by the British Standards Institute (BSI), the questions assess a company’s credentials for Health and Safety, environmental and quality management, equal opportunities, modern slavery act adherence, and anti-bribery and corruption policies.
Winning gold certification means O’Keefe has met the criteria for an extended verified PQQ covering environmental management, equalities and diversity, quality management and ensuring legislative compliance.
Constructionline is popular with construction buyers who want to be able to quickly identify suppliers. The different membership levels cater for buyers who look for a broader range of compliance criteria as well as for suppliers looking for a membership level that best suits their business needs.
Jo Strahan, O’Keefe’s quality and systems manager said: “Health and Safety is O’Keefe’s number one priority, and to have this recognised at this level, along with all our policies and procedures, is a huge accolade. It gives potential clients peace of mind that they are working with an organisation that looks after the welfare of its workforce.”
