The O’Keefe Group’s London business has completed a major phase of its work on an award-winning £77 million project that is genuinely ground-breaking for several reasons.
Creekside Wharf on Copperas Street, Greenwich, designed by Assael Architecture, is a development of 249 one to three-bedroomed apartments in two tower blocks with 800m2 of commercial floor space. Their development consists of a nursery and 1,400m2 of shared amenity space including exercise areas, communal lounges, kitchens and rooftop terraces.
A quarter of the apartments will be discounted to accommodate low-income households identified by the local council. These will be priced at 55% of the normal market rental value and blended in with the normal market-rented apartments. This will be the first housing development to include DMR (Discount Market Rent) apartments which are now set to be rolled out more widely under plans announced by the Mayor of London.
The site for the developer and operator of private rental homes Essential Living will also feature vehicular access, associated serving facilities, car and cycle parking, public realm and landscaping, all on the banks of Deptford Creek. It is due for completion in 2018.Read full case study here
