O’Keefe undertook the 130,000m3 bulk excavation and ground-works within the diaphragm wall of the Woolwich Crossrail Station Box. Temporary works installation required extensive planning and co-ordination with Byrne Bros, who completed the substructure reinforced concrete.

The site constraints meant that the bulk excavation and basement box had to be constructed from South to North, which was executed via progressive excavation, temporary works design & installation, further excavation and construction of RC foundations and substructure verticals.

Our combined management teams, jointly organised logistical planning and co-ordination for deliveries and execution of spoil, concrete and reinforcement. This was essential to a deliver a safe project to programme.
